Description:

*Survivors* was one of the finest speculative dramas ever produced by the BBC. Between 1975 and 1977, primetime television audiences were drawn to a series shaped from a 'what-if' premise both horrifying and all-too plausible: what would happen if a global catastrophe all but destroyed the human race, laying waste the pillars of modern civilisation, and condemning the few survivors to life in a country plunged back into the dark ages? This unofficial work is the first commercially published book to scrutinise *Survivors* in depth and in its entirety *The End of the World?* offers a guide to the production of each of *Survivors*' three series, and the characters who populate its storylines.
